We got to sleep in again, with breakfast in the motel breakfast room not being scheduled until 6:30. But these motel keepers were smarter than average; with a small serving area, they opened early to allow for a more spread out devastation of their offerings.
The road surface improved remarkably as we arrived at the New York border. Being a short day, we arrived early at the hotel and got to walk about the small town of Norwich. We had a special treat after dinner–a brownies and ice cream social.
