New for 2011, PAC Tour will be exploring the Lake Michigan coastline, from Milwaukee northward and circling through the Door County peninsula.

PAC Tour will be traveling through new territory during this week long Wisconsin Tour. We will begin and end in Milwaukee, WI, home to the Brewers, Miller Brewing Company, and the setting for Happy Days. We will be staying at the Best Western near the airport which provides free shuttles to and from the airport, as well as to the Milwaukee Amtrak station. If you are driving to the start of the tour, you can leave your car in the Best Western parking lot during the week of the tour at no additional cost. Milwaukee is about an hour and a half north of Chicago on I-94.

From Milwaukee we will travel north to Sheboygan. We will ride through downtown Milwaukee on a Sunday morning, avoiding traffic and enjoying the lakeshore drive. We will veer northwest through the lumpy Kettle Moraine State Forest, a pleasant change of terrain compared the flat Lake Michigan coastline.
We will continue cycling north to Manitowoc, Sturgeon Bay, and up to the very tip of Door County, Ellison Bay. On the day riding to Ellison Bay you will have the option of taking your bicycle on a ferry to Washington Island, a small island off the tip of Door County that is a common destination for travelers.

On this new route, we have tried to find lodging near the downtown districts of our destinations, to allow for some time to explore Wisconsin's urban areas. We also spend many miles on rural back roads trying to avoid the highways. If 90-100 miles seems like too far to ride in a day, you are welcome to ride "the best 60" and we will shuttle you up the road in our support vehicles. We hope you enjoy this adventure as much as we do.
