Points of Interest:Crossed within 3 miles of Mexican border.Town of Felicity, self-proclaimed "Center of the World".Unfortunately, the "information center" was closed for the winter.Miles of desert with lots of sand - looked alot like the Sahara desert. Sight where "Lawrence of Arabia" was filmed. |
Highlights:Lots of road kill.Short 70 mile day with tail winds.We finished before it really got hot!!The website crashed and had to be reloaded - spent about 2 hours getting it back up.Great Mexican dinner with Peter, Howie and Susan.Lon helped Bruce identify the cause of an irritating bike noise which would have become a serious problem. |
People We Rode With:We rode separately almost the entire day. Brian hammered while Bruce took it easy.Bruce rode with "Team Frisco" (Jim, Monica, Anurang) Tracy, George.Brian rode with the Tandem team (also known as the hammerheads), Pierce, Lois, Ed, Peter (the swede).
